We ask that everyone please follow a black-tie optional dress code.

While we adore your children, unless they are explicitly listed on your invitation, we kindly ask that you leave them at home.

We would love everyone to get a plus one! However, for the sake of not overbooking our venue, please keep guests to those explicitly listed on the invitation.

For those driving, we recommend building time into your schedule to account for finding parking. While there is not a parking lot at The Exchange, there are a handful of city-operated parking garages nearby.

The closest garage is the Grant Park South Garage. The garage is located along South Michigan Avenue between Jackson Boulevard and Van Buren Street. The garage has approximately 520,800 square feet of parking space and 1,350 parking spaces. Vehicle height capacity clearance of 6’8.” The drive-up rate for 3 to 12 hours is $36 dollars, but can be cheaper if you pre-purchase a parking ticket online at https://millenniumgarages.com/rates/.

Given that The Blackstone Hotel is an 8 minute walk and a 3 minute drive from The Exchange, we will not be providing official transportation for guests. However, the city’s public transit, Uber and Lyft are all available and easy methods of transportation.

Guests will be allowed in the venue 30 minutes before the start. We recommend aiming to be there by 4pm, as Chicago traffic and parking can be unpredictable and we will be starting the ceremony promptly at 4:30pm. For those who want to head downtown early and avoid the stress and unpredictability of traffic, there are plenty of great bars nearby to grab a drink at before!

Just a few blocks north of the venue, you can grab a drink at one of their many bars. Cindy’s Rooftop which offers unparalleled views of the city, lake and Grant Park. The Game Room is also a great spot to grab a drink and is located on the second floor.

We will be serving a cocktail-style dinner in which food is set up at stations around our venue. Because it is so rare that we get the chance to have so many of our loved ones under one roof, we will be foregoing the formal dinner hour where everyone must be seated at a table and served there. We’d love to continue the mingling from cocktail hour as guests grab food and eat on their own time.

Do not worry, there will still be seats for everyone to sit as they eat and there will be clear announcements when food is set out. We will still be offering full entree options at the food stations as well — from proteins to pastas and more.

Absolutely! We are happy to cover drinks for our guests. However, we do recommend bringing some cash to tip the bartenders at the end of the night!

Yes! We are inviting all guests to join us for a Welcome Party on Saturday, May 25th at Avli On The Park at 6:45pm. The party will have a cash bar and passed appetizers, so please be sure to eat dinner beforehand if you’re looking for a bigger meal that night!
